Halloween is coming！

但是千万别搞错了，Halloween不是万圣节而是万圣节前夜。

The night of October 31st, which is now celebrated by children, who dress in costumes and go from house to house asking for sweets, especially in the US and Canada.

10月31日，现在更像是孩子庆祝的一个节日，尤其在美国和加拿大，孩子们进行各种装扮然后去每家每户索要糖果（trick or treat）。

In the past, people believed the souls of dead people appeared on Halloween.

过去，人们相信死者的灵魂会在万圣节前夜出现。

有点类似我们中国的七月半鬼节，所以小共君也应景的送大家几个凉凉小故事：

The grinning face stared at me from the darkness beyond my bedroom window.

I live in the 14th floor.

黑暗中，一张咧开嘴笑的脸在我卧室的窗外注视着我。

而我住在14楼。

You get home, tired after a long day’s work and ready for a relaxing night alone.

You reach for the light switch, but another hand is already there.

你工作一天后疲惫的回到家，准备独自度过一个惬意的夜晚。

当你伸手去开灯时，你摸到一只手。

You hear your mom calling you into the kitchen.

As you are heading down the stairs you hear a whisper from the closet saying ”Don’t go down there honey, I heard it too.”

你听到你妈妈喊你去厨房。

当你正准备下楼梯时，你听到衣橱里有人低语“别下去，亲爱的，我也听到那个声音了。”

I woke up to hear knocking on glass.

At first, I thought it was the window until I heard it come from the mirror again.

一阵玻璃敲打声吵醒了我。

起先我以为是窗户，直到我再次从镜子里听到同样的敲打声。

I woke up and everything feels wrong; it’s too quiet outside.

I look out the window and see everyone standing still, looking at my house.

我醒来，感觉一切都不对劲；外面太安静了。

我看向窗外，看见每个人都在着不动，盯着我的房子。
